Background
We designed a campaign to help Makeblock, a global STEAM education solution provider to promote their new product “ Neuron Explorer Kit”.
I lead the creative advertising efforts in conjunction with the Co.media digital marketing department and the client Makeblock, a global STEAM education solutions provider, to promote a new product called “Neuron Explorer Kit.” Makeblock is a Chinese company with award-winning products. Their goal was to launch to the North American market properly. I worked with the digital team to online ads, email marketing and custom landing page. We also worked with an influencer to increase brand awareness through social media.

Challenges+Goals
To drive new product sales and increase brand awareness in the North American market.
Makeblock is a global brand that lacked a predominantly North American market audience which hindered initial interest in their new Neuron Explorer Kit product and overall brand exposure. Our goal was to create brand trust, brand exposure and awareness of their educational products in the North American market.
We created a social media campaign that used multiple methods to introduce their new product to the target audience. I was in charge of all the visuals of the campaign, ensuring they were consistent with their current branding and that their new product was visually appealing in Ads.
Approach
Connecting Makeblock with its potential customers.

Google Ads and Custom Landing Page
After market research, we set our target audience of parents with children (6-12 years old) and ran a Google Ads campaign. I also designed a landing page to help with campaign conversions from Ad to purchase.
The landing page included:
- Details of what the new product has to offer
- Clear CTA button link to the Apple Store
- Influencer review video
- Awards recognition to increase credibility of the brand

Email marketing
I designed an email newsletter to show product highlights to customers with aCTA button link to the Apple Store for direct purchase. We used existing customer leads to send new product offerings to boost a higher conversion rate and brand exposure.

Influencer marketing
We collaborated with an 8-year-old influencer who had a YouTube channel “ JoJo’s Science Show”. We sent him the “Neuron Explorer Kit” to play with and provide an unboxing view and review.This was a great way to showcase how the product works. We also utilized the review video on Facebook Ads to get additional brand exposure.

Social Media Campaign
We conducted a promotion campaign on Makeblock’s official Instagram account to increase brand awareness. By having our audience follow the account, like the post, and tag friends, participants had a chance to win a prize. The Instagram campaign produced significant leads to purchases due to the visual aspect of the product.
Outcome
Goals reached.
Soon after our campaign launched, we got feedback from Makeblock that they have reached their sales goals and the number of leads required for them to produce a profit on the campaign. Their social media campaign on Instagram had great interaction and participation numbers, and those increased followers continue to be active on Makeblock posts today.
